# Notification Overview

> View real-time updates about jobs, candidates, events, communication, and system alerts.

Use **Notifications** to stay on top of activity across the system without opening each section. Notifications help you catch updates quickly and keep hiring workflows moving.

## What you’ll get notified about

Notifications can include updates related to:

* Job changes and updates
* Candidate activity
* Events and communication
* System alerts

## When to use this

Use Notifications when you need to:

* Check recent activity
* Track updates without opening each section
* Stay informed about the hiring process

## Access notifications

A notification panel will open.

## Notification panel

The panel shows a quick view of recent updates and provides shortcuts for managing what you see.

### Top actions

* **Show All / Show Unread**
* **Mark All as Read**

Use these to control which notifications are visible and to clear unread items quickly.

### Bottom actions

* **Settings**
* **View All**

Use these for deeper control and full visibility into notification history.

## Show All vs Show Unread

* **Show All** displays all notifications
* **Show Unread** displays only unread items

<Tip>
  Use **Show Unread** to focus on new updates and avoid re-reading older activity.
</Tip>

## Mark all as read

Use this to clear all unread notifications.

After marking all as read:

* Notifications are marked as read
* The panel may show **“No notifications yet”** if there are no new updates

## View all notifications

Click **View All** to open the full notifications page.

This page provides:

* A detailed notification list
* Filtering options
* Activity tracking

## Why this matters

If notifications are ignored:

* Important updates may be missed
* Hiring actions may be delayed
* Communication gaps may occur
