Once users exist in your workspace, the user list becomes your day-to-day control surface. Use it to find people quickly, inspect their access, and take fast actions when something needs to change.
Looking to add a new user? Start with Add Users. This page focuses on managing the users you’ve already invited.

What you can do from the user list

Search

Find users by name or email instantly.

Filter

Narrow the list by system role, module role, or status.

Inspect access

View each user’s system role and module access details.

Take action

Suspend a user or reset their password directly from the row.

Search and filter

1

Use the search bar

Type a name or email — results filter in real time as you type.
2

Apply a filter

Use the filter dropdowns above the list to narrow by:
  • System role (Organization Admin, Standard User, Limited User)
  • Status (Active, Invited, Inactive)
  • Module access
3

Combine search and filter

Search and filter work together — e.g., search @acme.com and filter by Inactive to find suspended users from a specific domain.

Inspect a user’s access

Click a user’s row to expand their details. You’ll see:
DetailWhat it tells you
System roleTheir overall access scope across your organization
Module accessWhich Mercury products they can use
Module roleWhat they can do within each assigned module
StatusWhether they can log in right now

Available actions

You can act on any user directly from the list.
What it does: Temporarily disables the user’s access. They can’t log in or use any module. When to use it:
  • A teammate is on extended leave
  • You need to quickly lock an account during a security review
  • A contractor’s engagement has ended but you may reactivate them later
Effect: Immediate. The user is logged out and blocked from signing back in until you restore access.
What it does: Sends a password reset link to the user’s email. When to use it:
  • The user is locked out and can’t use the standard Forgot Password flow
  • You suspect their credentials have been compromised
Effect: A reset email is sent. Their current password remains valid until they complete the reset.

Tracking status changes

The Status column always reflects the user’s current access:
The user can log in and use their assigned modules.

What to be careful about

These actions affect real people working in real time:
  • Suspending a user stops all system access immediately — anything they have in progress is interrupted.
  • Reset password should be used only when necessary — prefer letting users reset their own password from the login page.
  • Incorrect actions can block active work, so confirm the user and the action before clicking.

Add and invite users

Bring new teammates into your workspace with the right roles.
