Mercury Recruit’s HR and productivity integrations close the gaps between sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding. Connect your calendar so interviewers can book slots without leaving the platform. Link your HRIS so a hired candidate flows directly into your employee records. Hook up assessment tools to trigger skills tests at the right pipeline stage. Everything is authorized once in Settings → Integrations and then works automatically in the background as your team moves candidates through the hiring process.

Connecting an integration

The steps below apply to all HR and productivity integrations in Mercury Recruit.
1

Go to Settings → Integrations

Click the Settings gear in the left navigation, then select Integrations from the submenu.
2

Browse available connectors

Use the category filter or search bar to find the tool you want to connect. Each connector card shows the integration type, what data it exchanges with Mercury Recruit, and which plan is required.
3

Click Connect and authorize

Select the connector and click Connect. For OAuth-based integrations (such as Google Calendar or Microsoft Outlook), you’ll be redirected to the provider’s authorization screen — sign in and grant the requested permissions. For API key integrations, paste the key from your provider’s settings and click Save.
4

Configure integration settings

After authorization, a settings panel opens where you can customize the integration’s behavior — for example, which calendar to use for interview scheduling, which HRIS entity to sync new hires into, or which assessment to trigger at a given pipeline stage.
5

Test the connection

Click Test Connection to confirm Mercury Recruit can reach the connected service. A green checkmark confirms the integration is active and ready to use.
Complete the calendar integration before scheduling your first interview. This unlocks Mercury Recruit’s automated scheduling features, including self-serve candidate booking links and interviewer availability detection.

Calendar integrations

Connect your team’s calendars to let Mercury Recruit schedule interviews automatically, send calendar invites, and detect interviewer availability without any back-and-forth.

Google Calendar

Authorize Mercury Recruit to read availability and create events in Google Calendar. Interviewers see proposed slots based on their real-time free/busy status, and accepted invites appear in their Google Calendar automatically.

Microsoft Outlook

Connect Microsoft 365 to sync Outlook calendar availability and send interview invites through your organization’s Exchange or Microsoft 365 environment.
Once your calendar is connected, Mercury Recruit can:
  • Detect availability automatically — when you schedule an interview, Mercury Recruit checks every interviewer’s calendar before surfacing time slots to the candidate.
  • Send calendar invites — accepted interview times generate calendar events for the candidate and all interviewers, including the video conferencing link if you’ve also connected a video tool.
  • Update on reschedule — if an interview moves, Mercury Recruit updates the calendar events and notifies all participants.

Email and communication integrations

Mercury Recruit sends automated and manual emails on your behalf using pre-built templates that you customize in Settings → Email Templates. Connect your email provider to control the sender address candidates see and to ensure emails pass SPF/DKIM authentication checks.

Custom Sender Domain

Configure Mercury Recruit to send emails from your own domain (for example, recruiting@yourcompany.com) instead of a generic Mercury address. This improves deliverability and reinforces your employer brand.

Team Notifications

Connect Mercury Recruit to your team communication platform so that hiring managers and interviewers receive real-time notifications when candidates advance, submit assessments, or require action.
To set up a custom sender domain, go to Settings → Email → Sender Configuration and follow the DNS record instructions. Mercury Recruit validates the records automatically once DNS propagation completes.

HRIS and payroll integrations

When you mark a candidate as hired in Mercury Recruit, the HRIS integration transfers their record — name, contact details, role, start date, and any custom fields you’ve mapped — directly into your HR information system. This eliminates duplicate data entry and ensures your HR and payroll teams have accurate information from the moment an offer is accepted.

HRIS Platforms

Connect to your HR information system to automatically create employee records when a candidate is converted to a hire. Supported field mapping lets you align Mercury Recruit’s candidate data to your HRIS’s employee profile structure.

Payroll Systems

Sync new hire data to your payroll platform so compensation, tax, and banking details are ready before the employee’s first day. Available on Professional and Enterprise plans.

Mapping candidate fields to HRIS fields

1

Open the HRIS connector settings

After connecting your HRIS, click Configure on the connector card in Settings → Integrations.
2

Review the default field map

Mercury Recruit pre-maps common fields (name, email, job title, department, start date). Review the mapping table to confirm defaults match your HRIS’s schema.
3

Add or adjust custom field mappings

Click Add Mapping to link any Mercury Recruit candidate field to a custom HRIS field. Use the dropdowns to select the source field in Mercury Recruit and the target field in your HRIS.
4

Save and test

Click Save Mappings, then use the Send Test Record button to push a sample record to your HRIS and confirm the data lands in the right fields.

Assessment platform integrations

Connect third-party assessment tools to trigger skills tests, coding challenges, or behavioral assessments automatically when a candidate reaches a designated pipeline stage.

Skills & Cognitive Assessments

Integrate with assessment platforms to automatically invite candidates to complete a standardized skills or cognitive test when they advance past a screening stage.

Technical & Coding Challenges

Connect coding challenge platforms so developers receive a technical test the moment they clear the initial recruiter screen — no manual emails required.
To configure assessment triggers:
  1. Connect the assessment platform in Settings → Integrations.
  2. Open the job or pipeline template where you want to trigger an assessment.
  3. Select the pipeline stage (for example, Technical Screen) and click Stage Settings.
  4. Under Automated Actions, choose Send Assessment, then select the assessment from your connected platform’s library.
  5. Save the stage settings. From now on, every candidate who enters that stage receives the assessment invitation automatically.
Assessment results appear on the candidate’s profile in Mercury Recruit so your team can review scores without switching to the assessment platform. Score display and result detail depend on the data each assessment provider shares via their API.
