Mercury Recruit is an AI-powered Applicant Tracking System (ATS) designed to help companies hire faster, smarter, and more fairly. You post jobs across multiple boards in a single click, and Mercury Recruit automatically collects, screens, and ranks incoming applications using its AI engine. From there, your hiring team reviews a prioritized shortlist, collaborates on candidates, schedules interviews, and moves applicants through a fully customizable pipeline — all from one platform. The result: less time buried in resumes, more time talking to the right candidates.
Do I need technical expertise to use Mercury Recruit?
No. Mercury Recruit is built for recruiters, HR managers, and hiring teams — not developers. The interface is intuitive enough to get started without training, and our onboarding resources walk you through every step. If you do run into questions, our support team is available by email and phone, and Enterprise customers get a Dedicated Success Manager to guide them through setup and beyond.
Can Mercury Recruit scale with my company?
Yes. Mercury Recruit grows with you. Start on the Growth plan to handle your immediate hiring needs, move to Professional as your team and volume expand, and upgrade to Enterprise when you need advanced permissions, compliance tooling, private hiring modes, and a dedicated support partner. You can upgrade or downgrade your plan at any time — no long-term contracts required.
Is there a long-term contract?
No. Mercury Recruit operates on a flexible subscription model with no long-term commitments. You can change your plan or cancel at any time. If you cancel, your data remains accessible for 30 days so you can export anything you need before the account is closed.
Do you offer a free trial?
Yes. Mercury Recruit offers a 15-day free trial with no credit card required. You get full access to the platform so you can explore features, post real jobs, and evaluate the AI screening engine before committing to a paid plan.
How accurate is the AI screening and ranking system?
Mercury Recruit’s AI delivers 88% role relevance accuracy, validated across more than 900,000 resumes processed. The system evaluates candidates against the specific requirements of each job posting — skills, experience, qualifications — and produces a ranked shortlist so your team focuses on the strongest applicants first.Accuracy improves when job descriptions are detailed and specific. The more context you give the AI about the role, the sharper the shortlist it returns.
Does AI make hiring decisions automatically?
No. Mercury Recruit’s AI ranks, scores, and recommends candidates — but every hiring decision is made by a human on your team. The AI handles the volume and surfaces the signal; your recruiters and hiring managers make all final calls. This keeps your process fair, accountable, and legally defensible.
How does the AI avoid bias in screening?
Mercury Recruit applies the same consistent, criteria-based screening logic to every applicant, regardless of name, background, or demographics. The system evaluates candidates against objective role requirements only. Additionally, Mercury Recruit includes bias detection for job descriptions, flagging language that may unintentionally discourage qualified applicants from applying. This helps you attract a broader, more diverse talent pool from the start.
Can Mercury Recruit really reduce hiring costs?
Yes, in several measurable ways. First, it reduces your spend on job boards by consolidating multi-board posting into a single workflow — you stop paying for redundant distribution and track everything in one place. Second, faster screening and shorter hiring cycles mean less time-to-fill, which reduces productivity losses from open roles. Third, Mercury Recruit replaces several point solutions (ATS, screening tools, scheduling tools, collaboration tools) with a single platform, eliminating overlapping software costs.
Yes. You can upgrade or downgrade your Mercury Recruit plan at any time from your account settings. Upgrades take effect immediately; downgrades apply at the start of your next billing cycle. There are no penalties for changing plans.
What happens to my data if I cancel?
If you cancel your Mercury Recruit subscription, your data — including candidate records, job postings, and hiring history — is retained for 30 days after the cancellation date. During that window, you can log in to export any data you need. After 30 days, your data is permanently deleted from our systems. To request early deletion or a full data export, contact support@mercury360.com.
Is a credit card required to start a free trial?
No. You can start your 15-day free trial without entering any payment information. You only need to provide billing details when you choose to upgrade to a paid plan.
Yes. Mercury Recruit is fully GDPR-compliant and built with data security as a foundation. Candidate information is accessible only to authorized members of your hiring team — role-based permissions ensure that each person on your team sees only what they need to. All documents are stored securely, and every action taken in the platform is logged in a complete audit trail so you can always see who did what and when.
Who can access candidate information?
Only team members you explicitly authorize can access candidate data. Mercury Recruit’s role-based permissions system lets admins control exactly what each user can view, edit, or act on. Enterprise customers also get System-Wide Admin Visibility and the Private & Confidential Hiring mode, which restricts access to sensitive roles even further — ideal for executive searches or sensitive internal moves.
How does Mercury Recruit handle GDPR compliance?
Mercury Recruit is designed to support your obligations under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). This includes lawful collection and processing of candidate data, clear data retention policies (30 days post-cancellation), role-based access controls, secure storage, and the ability to fulfill data subject requests — including deletion and export — upon request. For details, see the Security & Compliance page or contact our team.
Does the platform support multi-job board posting?
Yes. Mercury Recruit lets you publish a job opening to multiple job boards simultaneously with a single click. You manage the entire process — postings, applications, and candidate tracking — from one centralized dashboard. No more logging into five different portals or manually copying job descriptions across platforms.
Does Mercury Recruit integrate with other HR tools?

Job boards for multi-channel distribution
HR and HRIS tools for seamless data handoff after hiring
