Understanding AI Actions

AI Actions are credits consumed whenever Mercury Recruit’s AI engine performs a task on your behalf. Each of the following operations uses one or more AI Actions:
  • AI Resume Parsing — extracting structured data from an uploaded resume
  • Candidate Ranking — scoring and ranking applicants against a job’s requirements
  • Job Description Generation — drafting or improving a job description using AI
  • Candidate Fit Score — calculating how well a candidate’s profile matches a role
  • Automated Skill Assessments — generating or evaluating skills-based questions
Your monthly AI Action allowance resets at the start of each billing cycle. Growth plans include 150 Actions per user per month — enough for consistent resume parsing on moderate applicant volumes. Professional plans include 1,000 Actions per user per month, supporting high-volume automation across ranking, assessments, and fit scoring. Enterprise plans negotiate a custom allocation based on projected usage.
If you exhaust your monthly AI Actions before the cycle resets, you can purchase additional credits from the Billing section of your account settings without upgrading your plan.

Growth is the right starting point if your team is hiring for fewer than five roles at a time and your primary need is a structured, organized pipeline. You get AI resume parsing out of the box, a hosted career page for inbound applications, and offer letter management — everything you need to run a professional hiring process without unnecessary complexity. If you later need automation or deeper analytics, upgrading to Professional is straightforward and prorated.
Professional is the most popular plan and the recommended choice for teams actively scaling their hiring. The jump from 5 to 30 active job slots is significant, but the bigger differentiators are the AI-powered tools: candidate ranking, fit scoring, automated workflows, and structured interview kits. These features meaningfully reduce time-to-hire and improve the consistency of your evaluation process. The 1,000 monthly AI Actions per user make it practical to apply AI to every applicant, not just a subset.
Enterprise is designed for organizations with complex, high-volume, or sensitive hiring needs. No — all users on a single Mercury Recruit account share the same plan tier. If one user needs Professional features, all users on the account must be on the Professional plan. This ensures consistent access and avoids permission conflicts across your hiring team.
