Mercury Recruit’s free trial gives you 15 days of full Professional-level access — no credit card, no commitment, no feature restrictions. That means you can post jobs, parse resumes with AI, rank candidates, build interview kits, and explore advanced analytics from day one. The trial is designed to let you evaluate the platform in the context of a real hiring workflow, not a sandboxed demo environment.

During your 15-day trial you have access to every feature in the Professional plan, including:

Trial AI Actions do not carry over to a paid subscription. When you convert to a paid plan, your monthly AI Actions reset based on your chosen plan’s allocation and your new billing cycle start date.

How to start your free trial

Starting a trial takes less than two minutes. No credit card is required at any point during the 15-day period.
  1. Go to mercury360.com/recruit/freetrial.
  2. Enter your work email address and create a password.
  3. Provide your company name and the approximate size of your hiring team.
  4. Confirm your email via the verification link Mercury Recruit sends you.
  5. Complete the short onboarding checklist inside the app — it walks you through creating your first job, setting up your career page, and importing or adding your first candidates.
To get the most out of your trial, import at least one real job and a batch of actual resumes in the first session. This lets you see AI resume parsing and candidate ranking in action with your own data, which is far more instructive than working with sample content.

What happens when the trial expires

Your trial lasts exactly 15 days from the date you first activate your account. On day 15, your account enters a read-only grace period for 48 hours — you can still log in, view candidates, and export data, but you cannot post new jobs, take pipeline actions, or use AI features until you add a payment method. After the 48-hour grace period, your account is suspended. All of your data — jobs, candidates, notes, assessments, and analytics — is preserved for 30 days from the suspension date. If you subscribe within that window, everything is restored immediately.
After 30 days of suspension, your account data is permanently deleted and cannot be recovered. If you need more time to make a decision, contact the sales team before the 30-day window closes — they can discuss options with you.

How to convert to a paid plan

You can upgrade from within the app at any point during the trial — you don’t need to wait until day 15.
  1. Click your account name in the top-right corner of Mercury Recruit and select Billing.
  2. On the Billing page, choose Upgrade to Paid Plan.
  3. Select the plan you want — Growth, Professional, or Enterprise. (If you’re happy with what you’ve used during the trial, Professional is already a known quantity.)
  4. Choose monthly or annual billing.
  5. Enter your payment details and confirm.
Your subscription activates immediately. Your billing cycle starts on the day you convert, and your first invoice covers the remainder of that calendar month (prorated) plus the next full month.
If you want to continue on the Professional plan, converting before your trial ends means zero interruption — your account transitions seamlessly with no loss of access or data.

Frequently asked questions

Yes. You can invite other users to your trial account from Settings → Team Members. All invited users share the same trial period — the 15-day clock started when the account was first created, not when individual members joined. Each invited user counts as a seat, and your paid subscription will be priced based on the number of users active at the time you convert.
Each email address is eligible for one free trial. If you need to re-evaluate Mercury Recruit after a previous trial has expired, contact the sales team — they can discuss extended demo options for your team.

Simply let the trial expire — there’s nothing to cancel and no charges will be made. Your data will be retained for 30 days after expiration, after which it is permanently deleted.
